FREQUENTLY

ASKED QUESTIONS

frequently_asked_questions

Do I need a liquor license if I only want to export wine or other liquor?

Q

A

Although the South-African liquor acts, which govern liquor sales, do not apply outside the country, the requirements of other laws relating to liquor make it very difficult to export liquor if the exporter does not have a liquor licence.  Certain laws also prohibit producers of liquor to sell liquor to an exporter if the exporter does not have a license.
